Established in August 2016, School of International Education(SIE) is responsible for enrollment, cultivation and supervision of international students as well as alumni affairs. The school is composed of Dean of Students Office and Student Affairs Office, with five staff members and more than ten full-time and part-time teachers teaching courses such as International Chinese Teaching and China Panorama.

Under the guidance of national policies on studying in China, the school remains committed to the principle of developing international education to its full potential. It has steadily expanded the scale of international students, has improved systems and structures to support talent training, and has achieved remarkable achievements in education and teaching. Currently, there are more than 320 international students(Degree Programs) from over 40 countries or regions studying for bachelor’s or master’s degree. During the last two years a number of undergraduate students have been admitted as master or doctoral students by prestigious universities, such as Tsinghua University, China University of Mining and Technology, and Jiangsu University.

In recent years, much progress has been made on all fronts, from great success in competitions such as China Engineering Robot Competition and International Open, to wonderful performance in social activities such as Classics Reading Challenge, and to honorary awards such as Jiangsu Province Advanced Group for International Students Education, thus proving “Studying Abroad in HYIT” a respected brand in international education field.
