2025 Application Guide for Undergraduate Programs of China-Thailand Zheng He College

I. Introduction to Huaiyin Institute of Technology (HYIT)

HYIT was established in 1958, which is located in Huai’an, a renowned national historical and cultural city in Jiangsu Province. It’s also the birthplace of Zhou Enlai, the first premier of the People’s Republic of China. It is a university with distinguishing application characteristics under Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and a Master’s degree awarding unit. HYIT has modern libraries, complete sports facilities, student activity centers, and advanced teaching equipment and laboratories. There are more than 24,000 registered full-time students, including more than 1,500 post-graduate students. HYIT has more than 1,400 faculty members, including about 700 postgraduate supervisors. The school has 6 provincial key disciplines during the 14th Five Year Plan period and 3 disciplines in the top 1% of ESI global rankings. HYIT actively promotes the academic internationalization and has established friendly and cooperative relations with 60 colleges and universities in 22 countries and Taiwan region. It has initiated joint undergraduate programs and postgraduate programs with them. It has 2 brand majors of International Talents Training in the colleges and universities of Jiangsu Province, 2 Joint International Research Laboratory programs, 1 key platform construction program of overseas high-level talents introduction and 3 foreign expert studios. The School of International Education was founded in 2016, awarded by Jiangsu Province Advanced Group for International Students Education many times, and nearly 500 international students from 42 countries have been enrolled and cultivated since then.

II. Introduction to Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), Thailand

Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) is a public university in Thailand. It is a comprehensive polytechnic university with dual functions of higher education and academic research. RMUTT plays a crucial role in cultivating construction talents needed by the country and improving the quality of social personnel. With the popularization and application of international Internet technology and the in-depth promotion of global collaborative projects, the teaching ability and academic research level of RMUTT have been greatly improved. At present, the university has formed a teaching system with distinct characteristics, obvious advantages, reasonable structure and substantial content. It offers a complete range of academic levels, from short-term training, accelerated education to undergraduate, master's and doctoral education. The university has ten faculties, including undergraduate, master's and doctoral programs. The disciplines cover the Faculty of Science and Technology Education, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Home Economics Technology, Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Architecture and Faculty of Thai Traditional Medicine. RMUTT attaches great importance to teaching and scientific research, has sufficient professional knowledge and aims to cultivate qualified talents. The degrees awarded by Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi are widely recognized by countries around the world. It is among the first batch of Thai universities recognized by the Ministry of Education of China.

III. Study Mode & Duration

The mode of study is full-time. The normal duration of Undergraduate Programs is 4 years. The flexible duration is from 3 years to 6 years. Undergraduate Programs implement the autumn enrollment. The autumn semester starts from September.

V. Project Categories

1. Dual-degree Program: Meeting the degree-awarding requirements of both universities, students will be awarded bachelor's degrees by Huaiyin Institute of Technology and Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, Thailand.

(1) Study Mode: Students will study at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, Thailand in the 1st - 2nd academic years, and at Huaiyin Institute of Technology in the 3rd - 4th academic years.

(2) Application Requirements: The applicant must be a Thai citizen, take the college entrance examination in Thailand and be admitted to Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi. Also, the applicant needs to take the entrance examination of Huaiyin Institute of Technology and meet the admission requirements of Huaiyin Institute of Technology.

(3) Language requirements: Applicants must have IELTS 5.5 or above, TOEFL 75 or above or Duolingo 85 or above or other equivalent English proficiency certificate. If the pre-courses use English as the medium of instruction, the above certificates of English proficiency are not required, but relevant certificate that the teaching language is English shall be provided.

2. Single-degree Program: Meeting the degree-awarding requirements of HYIT, students will be awarded bachelor's degrees by Huaiyin Institute of Technology.

(2) Application Requirements: Applicants for the single-degree program must be Thai citizens. They should have a high school diploma or above with good academic performance. In principle, the age should not exceed 25 years old. They need to take the entrance examination of Huaiyin Institute of Technology and meet the admission requirements of HYIT. Fresh high school graduates who have not obtained their high school diplomas before enrollment will have their admission qualifications automatically cancelled.

Notice:

1. A Thai citizen refers to an individual who holds a valid Thai passport. The original citizens of the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan must hold a valid Thai passport or nationality certificate for more than 4 years (inclusive), and have a record of actual residence in Thailand for more than 2 years within the last 4 years (before April 30 of the enrollment year) (Actually living in Thailand for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, subject to entry and exit signatures).

2. The applicant should voluntarily abide by Chinese laws, regulations and school rules and regulations, know China and have not been subject to any disciplinary action or criminal punishment.

Notice:

(1) Documents not in Chinese or English shall be attached with notarized Chinese / English translations;

(2) The files uploaded must be colored scan copies of the original ones. The original copy should be provided for future reference at the beginning of the semester.

IX. Fees for Studying at HYIT

1. Registration fee: 400 yuan/person (Online payment through the online application platform, no refund)

2. Tuition: 15000 yuan/year

3. Teaching materials: 800 yuan/year (Self-payment after registration)

4. Accommodation fee: 2600-3000 yuan/person/year (double room or three people living in a suite with two bedrooms and one living room ),

4000-6000 yuan/person/year (single room).

5. Comprehensive medical insurance: 600 yuan/person/year

X. Scholarships

1. Applicants can apply for the scholarship for new international students from Huaiyin Institute of Technology before the third academic year:

2. After one year study, students can apply for the Jiangsu Provincial Government Scholarship, the Excellent International Student Scholarship of Huaiyin Institute of Technology and the International Student Scholarship of the School of International Education of Huaiyin Institute of Technology.
