Information Functional Materials & Photoelectric Detection Technology
1. Division of Information Functional Materials (IFM)
The research of IFM focuses on novel optoelectronic materials such as organic materials, perovskite materials and organic-inorganic hybrid materials. These materials has promising application prospects in many fields, such as solar cells, LEDs, photodetectors and laser technology. The education and research purposes are to help students develop the awareness and ability to apply theories, methods and techniques of material science to solve problems. Specifically, IFM engages in the following research focus areas:
1) Physics of Optoelectronic Materials. The behaviors of photoexcited species in the optoelectronic semiconductors; the mechanisms of energy conversion; and some novel photophysical and photochemical properties.
2) Technologies of Optoelectronic Devices. Low dimensional structure materials and applications; High-performance solar cells and LEDs; and laser technologies.
2. Photoelectric detection technology direction
Relying on the provincial scientific research platform of Jiangsu Lake Environment Remote Sensing Technology Engineering Laboratory, spectral analysis laboratory mainly works in the field of water quality and food safety detection. The main research interests include fluorescence spectroscopy, UV-visible absorption spectroscopy, laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy, hyperspectral imaging, and optical coherence tomography.
